Amazing!, 28 March 2008 this review is from: Jillian Michaels-30 day Shred (DVD) had never purchased a DVD Michaels Jillian first b/c of the hit or miss reviews. So when I heard rave about this, I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. This is an absolute ass workout-kicker. I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser (working out 5-6 days a week) so I figured I could see what was on level 1 and all level 2 pass immediately. Listen to me folks--these workouts are rigid. Level 2 was very difficult--a good hard though, very challenging. When Jillian tells you to start at level 1, listen to you know what it is doing. I've been at this for about 5 days, and already I feel a difference in my body.
Jillian is hard--absolutely no rest in this workout (even for a drink of water), but this is what makes it go so quickly, and makes your body changes, according to Jillian. You're done before you know it--but in the end you have received a kick butt workout and feel like you've really done something. She based her training on 3-2-1 Method: 3 minutes, 2 minutes cardio, abs 1 min. Its strength remind me of circuits of Jari love--compound exercises that work simultaneously on the upper and lower body. The cardio is good as well: a lot of jumping, so watch those knees (has a modifier for beginners and less impact) and the abs is straight up ab work--a variety of crunches and twists on the floor.
This is a great workout and I find Jillian will be tough, but she is very nice. Warning: you're no-nonsense. I think it's funny when the stretch she admits she isn't flexible and strives to achieve its feet on the floor. I thought "Ha, Ha, finally something that I am more Jillian!" lol
If you really want to get a good workout and jumpstart weight loss get this DVD will not be disappointed. It is ideal for those who are too short a time and try something new; each workout is less than 30 minutes! help other customers find the most useful reviews This review was helpful?

I made only one, but it's a good job, very intense. I felt great afterwards. Also, I really like the trainer. You got me motivated to push my hardest to try and end of each financial year, that sometimes I couldn't make it (and I consider myself to be in good shape). My biggest complaint about DVDS is that it is told to start with level 1 and then progress to level 2 and level 3. But there is only one workout, workout level 1 to level 2 and level 3 workout. Accordingly, you are doing the same workout every day until you can move a layer. This can get tedious. In addition, we are working on the same tired and sore muscles that you worked the day before. My other complaints are a bit narrow: the music is awesome and it is not possible to skip through some of the things that at the beginning. As mentioned above, workouts are great and extremely challenging, but I don't use this DVD alone.

UPDATE:

I now give this video 5 stars. One of the comments to my review suggested that I did not wait to move up in levels, rather, that I could make each level so that I am not doing the training itself again and again. Thanks to that person. Now I am switching around levels and I love it. Level 2 and 3 are more difficult, but I follow the "easier" than most of the exercises and make changes to some aerobic exercises that can be too hard (or can't I only). Today, this is my favorite DVD. Love it because it is quite difficult to actually replace the chi ... and at only 25 min.

JILLIAN kicks your [...], 2 April 2008 this review is from: Jillian Michaels-30 day Shred (DVD) Ok, if you're like me (overweight and unmotivated) and watch the biggest Loser and wish you could be one of the competitors and Jillian train then you're in luck! Buy the DVD! I just received the dvd today and made the first level today. Was 2 and 1/2 hours from the time I finished and I'm still shaking and difficult to go up and down the stairs. I can't even imagine what she puts those poor competitors ...LOL!

I have knee pain and pain in the feet and generally only walking 3 mph on my treadmill. Well, suffice it to say that I don't see any weight loss. And let me be honest, the real reason that I have knee problems and stroll is because I weigh too much. So I did the full on jumping Jack ...No change for the jumping Jack in this workout ...Jillian tells you straight, lb 400 people doing full jumping Jack, you can too! And he was right. Sure as heck really can't push up but I'm sure it will be able to finally if I keep doing this dvd every day for 20 minutes.

And he's right, you can't do a workout for 20 minutes and expect to be easy ... you want easy, don't get this dvd. You want to sweat and really this workout DVDs!

I'm 5 ' 4 '' e 168 lbs. I will let you know my progress in my comments over time. Good luck to all!

This is a great workout and I find Jillian to be tough but she's pretty likeable. Be warned though: she's no-nonsense. I think it's funny when during the stretch she admits she's not flexible and struggles to reach her legs on the floor. I thought "Ha, Ha, finally something I'm better at than Jillian!" lol
